Kwara Police Arrest Suspected Bandit Gun Fixer and Suppliers in Security Operation

The Kwara State Police Command has apprehended a man in Makurdi accused of repairing and supplying guns to bandits operating in the state. The arrest was confirmed by the state police command, along with several other suspects allegedly involved in supplying food, drugs, and essential items to bandits in remote hideouts.

Adekimi Ojo, who disclosed the arrests during a State Security Council meeting, expressed concerns over the harmful effects of social media operations against insurgents. The council praised the recent deployment of military, police, and DSS personnel in Kwara, aligning with directives from President Bola Tinubu.

The security council recommended increased security measures, including air interdiction, to combat bandit attacks as the festive season approaches.
