Kano Police Arrest Three Suspects Over Woman and Children's Killing

The Kano State Police Command has apprehended three principal suspects linked to the brutal murder of a woman and her six children in the Dorayi Chiranchi quarter of Kano metropolis. The arrests were made following a successful intelligence-led operation on January 17 and 18, 2026.

The suspects, including a nephew of the deceased woman, confessed to their involvement in the crime and the theft of undisclosed amounts of money from the scene. The incident had sparked widespread outrage, leading to a manhunt for the perpetrators by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and possible accomplices.
