Police crack down on ‘One Chance’ syndicate

Police in Lagos State have successfully apprehended three suspects believed to be part of the notorious ‘One Chance’ syndicate. The suspects, identified as Bode Oludayisin (53), Michael Sowunmi (22), and David Olawaye (20), were caught in a sting operation conducted by a team of detectives from the State Command.

The gang's modus operandi involves using commercial buses to lure victims before robbing them, often with devastating consequences. The Lagos State Police spokesman, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrests, stating that the suspects were nabbed following a distress call from a victim who had been robbed by the syndicate.

Items recovered from the suspects included a smartphone belonging to a victim, an axe, concrete interlock bricks, and other potential weapons. The police have urged the public to be cautious and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
