Edo State Police Foil Kidnapping Attempt on Traders Along Igarra-Ibilloy Highway

The Edo State Police Command successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt on traders along the Igarra-Ibilloy highway in Akoko Edo Local Government Area. The incident occurred on Friday night when the police received a distress call and swiftly mobilized their rescue team.

The kidnappers engaged in gunfire with the security team but eventually fled, leaving the victims unharmed. The police operation is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
