Police Inspector Among 4 Dead in Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

A tragic multiple auto crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway claimed the lives of a Police Inspector and three others. The incident involved five articulated trucks at the Kara Bridge section in Lagos State.

Olanrewaju Ishola, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, confirmed the fatalities and highlighted the importance of proper maintenance to prevent such accidents. Rescue operations were conducted by various agencies including FRSC, LASTMA, and emergency services.

The crash was reportedly caused by a trailer's brake failure leading to a chain collision. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances.
