Police Probe Violent Clash at El-Rufai-Linked Political Meeting in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has initiated an investigation into a violent clash that occurred at a political gathering linked to former Governor Nasir El-Rufai. The event, organized under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), reportedly descended into chaos with sporadic gunshots fired by suspected thugs.

The police spokesperson, Mansir Hassan, stated that the meeting was held without proper notification to security agencies despite prior warnings. The police warned of legal consequences for those found responsible for the disruption of public order.

Additionally, unauthorized political gatherings across Kaduna have been suspended, with hotels and event centers cautioned against hosting such events without adequate security measures.
