In a significant political development, Governor Abba Yusuf and former Governor Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State met at the airport, exchanging pleasantries amidst the backdrop of the 2023 governorship election.

Dr. Ganduje, who is also the immediate past national chairman of the APC, visited the airport for inspection while Governor Yusuf was engaged in official duties in Abuja.
