Portable Demands DNA Test from Ashabi Before Child Support

Nigerian street-hop singer Portable has publicly confronted his estranged baby mama, Ashabi Simple, following the leak of a voice note on September 18, 2026. In the recording, Portable issued an ultimatum, demanding that Ashabi meet him at a hospital for a DNA test to confirm the paternity of their children before he would consider paying child support.

He expressed doubts about being the father, citing Ashabi's frequent absences from their home during their relationship, which he attributed to her film shoots. Despite acknowledging a resemblance between the children and himself, he further body-shamed Ashabi, claiming she developed fibroids after leaving his home due to excessive drinking and promiscuity.

Portable made it clear he had no intention of reconciling with her and was particularly agitated by reports that Ashabi had contacted his manager about pursuing legal action for financial support for their children.
