Ronaldo, Jesus, and Proença to Meet in Denmark Over Tensions

Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the Portugal national football team, is scheduled to meet with head coach Jorge Jesus and Pedro Proença, president of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), in Denmark. This meeting aims to resolve tensions that arose after Ronaldo remained an unused substitute during Portugal's 2–1 victory over Norway.

Proença expedited his trip to Copenhagen, initially planned to attend an Under-21 match in the Azores, due to the escalating situation between Ronaldo and Jesus. Ronaldo expressed frustration over his lack of playtime, despite warming up during the second half of the match.

Jesus stated that his decision to keep Ronaldo on the bench was tactical and did not indicate a loss of reliance on the 41-year-old forward. Following the incident, Ronaldo missed a training session in Malmö, opting to train individually at the team hotel due to inadequate facilities.

Proença's objective for the meeting is to mediate between Ronaldo and Jesus to prevent distractions ahead of Portugal's upcoming UEFA Nations League clash with Denmark.
