Frank Leboeuf Advocates Farewell Match for Ronaldo

Frank Leboeuf, a France football legend, expressed that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves a farewell match akin to Lionel Messi's upcoming tribute game. Speaking on ESPN FC, Leboeuf commented on Ronaldo's visible frustration regarding his lack of playing time during Portugal's UEFA Nations League victory over Norway.

He stated that it is understandable for Ronaldo to feel discontented when not participating actively, as any player would desire involvement. Leboeuf argued that an abrupt conclusion to Ronaldo's international career would be inappropriate and advocated for Portugal to organize a farewell match.

He emphasized that Ronaldo should have the opportunity to decide the circumstances of his departure, stating, "A player like him has to decide himself... a tribute for him because he deserves that." Additionally, it was reported that Ronaldo has withdrawn from the national team camp following a disagreement with newly appointed coach Jorge Jesus.
