Nigerian PoS Agents Combat Fraud Allegations Amid Profitability Concerns

Point of Sale (PoS) agents in Nigeria are responding to fraud allegations by taking action against unscrupulous agents. Operators like Abu Muhktar and Chioma Eze have acknowledged the possibility of fraud among PoS agents but emphasized that not all operators are involved.

They highlighted the need for more awareness and enlightenment from the Central Bank of Nigeria to address fraudulent activities. Some operators expressed concerns that the CBN's regulations might affect their businesses negatively.

Moses Edeh, another PoS operator, mentioned that the business is becoming unprofitable for many due to the shift towards cashless transactions. The industry is facing challenges in maintaining trust and profitability amidst fraud concerns.
