NNPC Boss Ojulari Faces Removal Threats Over Corruption Allegations

NNPC Boss, Engr Bashir Bayo Ojulari, has raised alarm over alleged threats to remove him from office by powerful elements. This comes after a delegation led by the President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria called for his resignation, citing corruption and mismanagement allegations.

Ojulari, appointed in April 2025, faces accusations of mismanagement of NNPC funds and fraud links. Despite the threats, he emphasized his commitment to refinery operations and reforms.

Critics accuse him of using a businessman to launder billions through the corporation. Ojulari defended his reforms, aligning with President Bola Tinubu's mandate to revive the nation's refineries.
