EPL Clubs Reach Finals of All Three UEFA Competitions

For the first time in history, three English Premier League clubs have reached the finals of all three major UEFA competitions in a single season. Aston Villa secured their place in the UEFA Europa League final by overturning a first-leg deficit to defeat fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest 4-1 on aggregate.

They will face SC Freiburg in the final, which is scheduled to take place in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 20. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace progressed to the UEFA Europa Conference League final after defeating Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk 5-2 on aggregate.

Crystal Palace will meet Rayo Vallecano from Leipzig, Germany, in the final on May 27. This achievement marks a significant milestone for English clubs, as it is the first time they have reached the finals of the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League in the same season.

The UEFA Conference League was introduced in 2021, creating a three-tier European club competition structure.
