Manchester United Fans Protest Ownership Amid Poor Start

Before the match against City, approximately 500 Manchester United fans protested at the Bishop Blaize pub, expressing discontent over ticketing practices and the Glazer family's ownership. The protest was organized by The 1958 action group, who also criticized minority shareholder Sir James Ratcliffe and his INEOS group.

Inside Old Trafford, fans displayed a banner reading “The way you treat us is a disgrace.” On the pitch, United's performance has been lackluster, with only four points from their first four matches against Hull, Ipswich, and Everton. The team failed to capitalize on Phil Foden's red card during the match against City, marking the first time under coach Michael Carrick that United did not score at home.

Carrick defended his players, stating that scoring at least two goals has been a norm in their home games. Injuries, particularly to Luke Shaw, have compounded United's defensive issues, with Patrick Dorgu filling in as a non-natural left back.
