President Tinubu Starts 2025 Annual Leave Amid Opposition Allegations

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria is set to begin his 2025 annual leave, departing from Abuja for a working vacation in France and the United Kingdom. The vacation, scheduled to last for 10 working days, was announced by his special adviser on Information Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

President Tinubu's departure comes amidst serious allegations against the opposition party ahead of the 2027 elections, with reports of a national opposition coalition aiming to unseat him. The President's directive to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) regarding the opposition's actions has also been noted.
