Nigeria's New CDS General Olufemi Oluyede Appointed by President Tinubu

General Olufemi Oluyede, a seasoned military officer, has been appointed as Nigeria's new Chief of Defence Staff by President Bola Tinubu, succeeding General Christoph Musa. Oluyede, born in 1968 in Ekiti State, began his military career in 1987 and has held key positions in the Nigerian Army.

His appointment reflects his distinguished record and leadership reputation. He is expected to focus on improving inter-service coordination, strengthening intelligence sharing mechanisms, and boosting troop morale and logistical support.
