Prominent PDP Chieftain Jerry Damara Joins APC in Gombe State

Renowned businessman and former PDP chieftain, Jerry Damara, has defected to the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections in Gombe State. Damara, along with his supporters, joined the ruling party citing the incumbent governor's developmental achievements and inclusive governance style as motivating factors.

Following extensive consultations with stakeholders, the decision to switch parties was made to avoid political fragmentation and fully embrace the ruling APC in Gombe South.
