Afenifere's Fapohunda Urges Obi to Ensure His Safety

Akin Fapohunda, the director of research for the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere, urged former presidential candidate Peter Obi to take measures to protect himself due to the rising political violence in Nigeria. During an interview with Symphony TV, Fapohunda emphasized that if Obi were to die, nothing significant would occur as a result.

He also criticized Edo State Governor Mondai Okpebholo, accusing him of pursuing political ambitions similar to those of former Governor Adam Oshiomhole. Fapohunda alleged that Okpebholo was attempting to install officials in a manner reminiscent of the late Lamidi Adedibu, a notorious political figure in Oyo State's history.
