Inspiring Journey of Dr. Yeye Folashade Shona Aluko

Dr. Yeye Folashade Shona Aluko, an educationist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, has made significant contributions to children's education in Nigeria. Born in Kaduna five decades ago, she faced obstacles in pursuing her education, particularly as a girl.

Despite these challenges, she earned a degree in education management from Olabisi Onabanjo University. Her career began as a classroom teacher, where she developed a reputation for discipline and commitment to her students.

To supplement her income, she started selling educational materials, which quickly gained traction. After securing a contract with the Jigawa State government, she faced a setback when a bank loan for purchasing educational items turned into a nightmare.

However, this crisis became a turning point, leading her to transform her small venture into a full-fledged business. Today, she is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DLA Children Playground Equip.

Toi Ltd., collaborating with government agencies and schools to provide safe learning tools for children across Nigeria.
