Niger State Governor Promotes Ranching to End Farmer-Herder Clashes

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State advocates for cattle ranching to end farmer-herder clashes and improve livestock production. He received representatives from various Fulani groups at the Government House, emphasizing the benefits of ranching in generating income and enhancing security.

The governor urged Fulani communities to embrace ranching, commended efforts to combat nefarious activities, and encouraged education for Fulani children. The initiative aims to improve nomadic education and foster peaceful coexistence.

The visit also received commendation from Abubakar Umar Girei, representing Lamido Adamawa, for the governor's support for the Fulani community.
