Rangers Urge Defender Fernandez to Stay Amid EPL Interest

Rangers Football Club has made a plea to Emmanuel Fernandez, a one-cap Super Eagles defender, to stay for another season as interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal and West Ham intensifies. The 24-year-old joined Rangers last summer for €3.5 million from Peterborough and has had a notable season, scoring six goals in 28 games.

His impressive performance led to his maiden call-up to the Super Eagles last month. Rangers' boss, Danni Rohl, emphasized the importance of Fernandez's development, stating that playing at a high level in the Scottish Premiership could lead to opportunities in the UEFA Champions League.

Rohl highlighted the rapid progress Fernandez has made over the past year, transitioning from lower league football to a top club. The club is currently in a tight title race with Celtic, with only three points separating them and five league games remaining.
