Raphinha Critiques Refereeing After Barcelona's Exit

He launched a scathing attack on referee Clement Turpin, claiming that the officiating was misleading and detrimental to Barcelona's performance.

The match concluded with Barcelona down to 10 men due to injuries, and Raphinha accused Turpin of repeating mistakes made in the previous leg officiated by Istvan Kovac. In the first leg, Kovac had sent off Pau Cubarsi after a VAR review for a foul on Giuliano Simeone, leading to a free-kick goal by Julian Alvarez.

In the second leg, Turpin dismissed a VAR review that could have penalized Atletico's goalkeeper Juan Musso for handling the ball inside the six-yard box. Barcelona lodged a formal complaint with UEFA regarding the officiating incidents, particularly in the early second half of the first leg.
