Cardi B Cleared of Assault Charges in $24m Lawsuit

Rapper Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar Cephus, has been cleared of assault charges in a $24 million civil lawsuit by a Los Angeles jury. The case, filed by former security guard Emani Ellis over an alleged altercation in 2018, claimed Cardi B physically attacked Ellis outside a Beverly Hills office.

However, the jury unanimously ruled in favor of Cardi B after a decisive trial where the rapper denied the accusations, stating the incident was purely verbal. Witnesses, including clinic staff, supported Cardi B's defense, leading to a swift resolution in her favor and a strong denial of the false claims made against her.
