Bernabeu to Host Madrid Open Practice Sessions in 2026

Real Madrid's iconic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium is set to host temporary clay court practice sessions for stars of the Madrid Open, scheduled from April 20 to May 3, 2026. The sessions will allow top players, including Spanish world number one Carlos Alcaraz, to prepare for the clay surface conditions that will replicate those at the Caja Magica, the tournament's main venue.

Players can book practice slots at the Bernabeu from April 23 to April 30, although these sessions will be closed to the public. The decision to utilize the Bernabeu comes as Real Madrid has no home fixtures scheduled during that week, coinciding with UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on April 28 and 29, where the club may face Bayern Munich or Liverpool, depending on the outcome of their matches against Paris Saint-Germain.
