Regina Daniels' Mother Loses AGN Presidential Election to Yakubu

Rita Daniels, the mother of popular actress Regina Daniels, was defeated by Abubakar Yakubu in the Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) presidential election held during the guild's annual general meeting in Benin, Edo State. Yakubu secured 116 votes, edging out Rita who received 113 votes, with three ballots declared void.

This marks the first time a northern actor will lead the AGN since its establishment in 1990. Prior to the election, it was advised that Rita prioritize her daughter's career over contesting for the AGN presidency.
