Trabzonspor's Reis Anticipates Quick Return for Onuachu
Thomas Reis, the manager of Trabzonspor, expressed optimism regarding the swift recovery of Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu, who sustained an injury during Trabzonspor's 4-2 away victory over Finland's KuPS Kuopio in the UEFA Conference League. Onuachu opened the scoring in the third minute with an assist from Mohamed Salah but was forced to leave the pitch in the 10th minute due to the injury.
At the time of reporting, Trabzonspor had not disclosed the severity of Onuachu's injury or the expected recovery timeline. This match marked Trabzonspor's first in the current season's competition and their first European win since August 1, 2024, as well as their third consecutive victory overall.
Reis commented on Onuachu's unfortunate situation, stating that injuries present opportunities for other players and expressed hope that Onuachu would return to the squad soon. This goal was Onuachu's third in 10 games for the season.
