Imo Police and Religious Leaders Unite for Safety Summit

On Tuesday, the Imo State Police Command, led by Commissioner Audu Garba Bosso, held an interfaith security summit to enhance safety in worship centers across the state. The summit brought together key stakeholders, including the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Chief Imam of Imo State, and various clergy members from different churches and mosques.

The theme focused on identifying and managing potential security threats, particularly regarding improvised explosive devices in worship centers. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Hamzat Abdulkadir emphasized the command's commitment to proactive policing and the importance of partnerships with religious institutions.

The event featured goodwill messages from representatives, including Pastor Sam Akujiobi and discussions led by CSP Mose Ogini from the Anti-Bomb Unit. The summit aimed to foster collaboration between security agencies and religious bodies to ensure a safer environment in Imo State.
