Rema Sets Record for Longest-Charting African Album

Nigerian singer Rema's debut album, "Rave & Roses," has broken the record for the longest-charting African album on the Billboard World Albums chart, reaching a milestone of 170 weeks. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by Wizkid's "Made in Lagos," which charted for 164 weeks last year.

Other notable African projects on the chart include Tems' "For Broken Ears," which spent 79 weeks, Burna Boy's "Love Damini" at 63 weeks, and Fela Kuti's "Best Black President" at 45 weeks. Additionally, Rema has made his second entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the song "Second Sermon" featuring Burna Boy, debuting at number 29.

This brings Rema's total entries on the Hot 100 to seven, tying him with Burna Boy and South African group Seether for the joint record among African artists.
