Rema Shines at 9th AFRIMA Awards, Wins Artiste of the Year

Rema, a 25-year-old artist signed to Mavin Records, swept the 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) with three major wins, including the prestigious Artiste of the Year award. The ceremony, held at the Eko Hotel Convention Center in Lagos, saw Rema also clinch the titles of Best Male Artist in Western Africa and Best African Artist in R&B/Soul categories.

Rema reflected on his journey since his 2019 debut, emphasizing the importance of supporting African music and platforms for long-term global success. Other notable winners included Burna Boy, who won Album of the Year.

The event celebrated excellence in African music across 40 categories, showcasing the continent's diverse musical talent.
