Remi Tinubu Links Insecurity Surge to Family Values Decline, Calls for Action

Senator Remi Tinubu attributed the rise in insecurity to the breakdown of family values during the Exercise Haske Biyu 2025 at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Kaduna. Tinubu stressed the importance of families in shaping society and expressed concerns over parents neglecting their duty to raise children, leading to vulnerabilities like cultism and drug abuse.

She emphasized the need for families to instill values of love, respect, and sacrifice in children. Tinubu also highlighted the role of religion in promoting moral unity and urged traditional leaders to teach young people positive principles.

She pledged support for families through initiatives like the Conditional Cash Transfer program.
