Remo Stars Relocate To Abeokuta, Crown FC Set Date For New NNL Season

Remo Stars have temporarily relocated to Abeokuta as their Ikenne base undergoes renovation work ahead of the new campaign. The club is also seeking approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to host a CAF Champions League match at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Head coach Daniel Ogunmodede will lead the team in continental action next month against US Zilimadjou from Comoros. Remo Stars, who won the NPFL title last season, will face Rivers United in their league opener in Abeokuta on Friday.

In a separate development, Crown FC has set a date for the resumption of players ahead of the new NNL season. The team manager confirmed that preparations will officially kick off on September 1 under the guidance of head coach Deji Ayeni.

Crown FC aims for a stronger outing after a disappointing campaign last season.
