Nigerian Rep Caucus Probes Alleged Altered Tax Laws for Transparency

The Nigerian Rep caucus has established a committee to probe alleged alterations to tax laws passed by the National Assembly. The decision, made in Abuja, follows consultations with stakeholders and concerns raised by opposition lawmakers like Kingsley Chinda.

The committee, led by Rep Afam Ogen, includes members such as Gbazuagu N. Gbazuagu and Jonathan Mb Shehu.

Its mandate is to verify the authenticity of the altered laws and recommend actions if any wrongdoing is found. The caucus emphasizes its role as an opposition bloc to protect Nigerian interests and promote legislative transparency.
