Rep Dasuki Urges Tinubu to Appoint Retired Military Officers as Ambassadors for Enhanced Foreign Representation

Representative Abdussamad Dasuki of Sokoto State has urged President Tinubu to consider appointing retired military officers as ambassadors in the next batch of nominations. Dasuki emphasized the importance of their extensive strategic and tactical training, as well as their invaluable battlefield experience in combating terrorism and insurgency.

He highlighted the urgent need for modern reconnaissance drones and arms to address security threats. Dasuki argued that deploying retired military personnel as envoys would better position Nigeria to pursue its strategic defense goals and strengthen international security partnerships.
