Africa Leads in Agentic AI Adoption, Says Report by BCG and MIT

A report by Boston Consulting Group and MIT Sloan Management reveals that Africa is at the forefront of adopting agentic AI technology. 82% of African respondents see AI as a collaborative tool with colleagues. 35% of companies have already started using agentic AI, while 44% plan to deploy it soon. The report emphasizes the need for organizations to develop management frameworks to redesign workflows and governance models to keep up with the rapid pace of AI adoption.

The study surveyed 2,102 executives across 21 industries and 116 countries, with insights from senior leaders like Sam Ransbotham and Shervin Khodabandeh.
