Reps Approve Tinubu's $516M Loan for Superhighway Project

On Tuesday, during a plenary session, the House of Representatives approved President Bola Tinubu's request for a foreign loan amounting to $516,333,007. The loan is intended to support the construction of a section of the Sokoto-Badagry superhighway.

The report was presented by Abdullahi Rasheed, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Aid, Loan, and Debt Management. The financing for this road project will be provided by Deutsche Bank.

This approval marks a significant step in advancing infrastructure development in Nigeria, particularly in enhancing transportation links between Sokoto and Badagry.
