Nigerian House of Representatives Releases Certified Copies of Tax Reform Acts Amid Controversy

The Nigerian House of Representatives has released certified copies of four tax reform Acts signed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address public concerns over alleged alterations. The move aims to restore public confidence, ensure transparency, and provide authentic records of tax laws.

Speaker Abba directed an internal verification process to ensure accuracy. The Acts form the backbone of Nigeria's current tax reform framework, focusing on revenue administration, tax compliance improvement, and fiscal coordination.

Hon. Abdulsammad Dasuki of PDP Sokoto raised the issue of discrepancies in versions of the laws, prompting the release of the certified documents.
