Lawmakers Urge Islamic Leaders for Special Ramadan Prayers

Nigerian lawmakers have called upon Islamic leaders across the country to offer special prayers for Nigeria during the holy month of Ramadan. This appeal, articulated in a letter addressed to the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), emphasizes the need for divine intervention as the nation faces significant challenges.

The lawmakers, representing various political parties, specifically requested that imams nationwide lead congregations in the Al-Qunut supplication throughout Ramadan. They described this period as a time for spiritual reflection and renewal, urging leaders to remind their congregations of the power of collective supplication.

The letter highlighted the historical role of prayer in guiding the nation through uncertain times and restoring hope. The signatories of the letter include Representatives Aminu Sani Jaji, Abdussamad Dasuki, Said Musa Abdullahi, Adewal Morufu, Aliyu Aminu Garu, Abdulmaleek Abdulraheem Danga, Mb Jajer, Ahm Yusuf Doro, and Adedeji Stanlei Olajid, who collectively seek to strengthen the moral fabric of society during this critical period.
