Retired Brigadier-General Abu Ali Passes Away, Bauchi State Mourns

Retired Brigadier-General Abu Ali, who served as a military administrator of Bauchi State and later became the first-class traditional ruler of Etsu Bassa Nge in Kogi State, has died. The Bauchi State Governor expressed condolences, highlighting Ali's role in governance and infrastructure development during his tenure.

Ali's leadership during the 1991 ethno-religious unrest in Tafawa Balewa was commended. He was credited with key achievements like the Bauchi Township Water Project and founding the Wikki Tourist Football Club.

Governor Moham praised Ali's commitment to democracy and peaceful handover to civilian administration in 1992.
