Rivers State Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu Officially Defects from PDP to APC, Deepening Political Realignment

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Professor Ngozi Odu, has officially left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), further intensifying the ongoing political realignment in the state. Odu's defection comes amid heightened tensions following political rifts with Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the Federal Capital Territory Minister.

Odu confirmed her defection on Sunday, January 4, during a tour of the six zones in Ogba Egbema Ndono Local Government Area. She urged residents to support President Bola Tinubu and mobilize grassroots support for the APC.

Odu's move reflects the growing acceptance of the APC within the region.
