Rivers Governor Declares End to Political Crisis, Emphasizes Rule of Law

Rivers State Governor Fubara declared the end of the political crisis in the state, focusing on reconciliation and commitment to implementing policies for the people during the special court session marking the 2025-2026 legal year. He emphasized the importance of an independent and effective judiciary, praising the River State judiciary as one of the best in Nigeria.

Governor Fubara also urged the judiciary to uphold moral courage and impartiality. The session raised concerns about overcrowded custodial centers and lack of sentence reductions for inmates.
