Technician Killed by Robbers While Defending Family in Ondo

Idris Clement, a 47-year-old technician, was shot dead by a gang of armed robbers in the early hours of Friday in the Shagari area of Akur, Ondo State. The incident occurred around 1 AM when the robbers invaded the community, targeting two houses.

According to the Ondo State Police Command's public relations officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the suspects involved in the violent attack have been arrested and are currently in custody as investigations continue. Abdulfatai Clement, the deceased's son, described the attack as devastating, noting that the robbers had already assaulted two houses in the area.

Idris Clement confronted the armed robbers to protect his family but was attacked with guns and cutlasses. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

His widow, Taibat Clement, has appealed to the Ondo State government and security agencies to ensure justice for her husband's death.
