ADC's OAU Onyema Advocates for Political Office Rotation

Chief OAU Onyema, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the rotation of political offices is essential for restoring sanity in Nigeria's governance. In an interview, he expressed that such a system would lead to fairer political practices and less rancor among parties.

Onyema highlighted the ADC's preparations for the upcoming elections, asserting that the party aims to make significant gains, particularly in Enugu State. He mentioned the inauguration of the Membership Mobilization and Revalidation Registration Committee (MMRRC) in Enugu, led by Barrister CG Okereke, to facilitate membership registration.

Onyema also noted that the ADC would adhere to a rotational principle for leadership positions, ensuring that candidates emerge from both the southern and northern regions. He expressed confidence that the ADC would perform well in the 2027 elections, emphasizing the need for decorum and sincerity in political dealings.

Senator David Mark was mentioned as having released membership cards for the party's registration efforts.
