Arsen Adamov Prepares for Tough Clash with Nigeria

Arsen Adamov, a 26-year-old right-back for Akhmat Grozny, has expressed his anticipation for the upcoming international friendly match against Nigeria, scheduled for October 6 at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium. Adamov regards Nigeria as a formidable opponent, recalling their previous encounter in June 2025, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

He also mentioned that Russia will face Iran on September 29 and Namibia on October 3 during the international break, highlighting the strength of both Nigeria and Iran as challenging teams. Adamov admitted to knowing little about Namibia but acknowledged the general strength of African teams.

He has made nine appearances in the Russian Premier League this season and contributed an assist in a match against Rostov on August 22. The Super Eagles of Nigeria, under head coach Eric Chelle, will enter this friendly after two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, hosting Madagascar on September 25 and traveling to Guinea-Bissau on September 29.
