Umar Sadiq Scores to End Goal Drought in Valencia Draw

Umar Sadiq ended a seven-game goal drought on Tuesday night as Valencia drew 1-1 with Mallorca at Estadi de Son Moix. Sadiq scored in the second half, rescuing a point for Valencia.

His last goal was on February 15, when he scored in a 2-0 win against Levante. Prior to this match, Sadiq had not scored in league matches against Villarreal, Osasuna, Alavés, Real Oviedo, Sevilla, Celta Vigo, and Elche, although he contributed assists against Celta Vigo and Elche.

This goal represented Sadiq's second league goal of the season in 19 appearances for Valencia, following his transfer from Real Sociedad. Overall, he has scored five goals this season, including three in the Copa del Rey.

Sadiq played the full 90 minutes, registering two shots on target and completing 75% of his passes. The draw leaves Valencia in 13th place, having won only once in their last five matches.
