Seplat Energy Appoints Saidu Mohammed, Later Nominated CEO of Nigerian Petroleum Regulatory Authority

Seplat Energy Plc appointed Saidu Mohammed as an independent non-executive director, but he withdrew due to conflict of interest. Subsequently, Mohammed was nominated as the CEO of the Nigerian midstream and downstream petroleum regulatory authority.

This move follows earlier board changes at Seplat in April 2025 when Bello Rabiu and Bab Omotowa resigned. Larry Ephraim Ettah was appointed to fill the resulting vacancies.

Mohammed brings 37 years of oil and gas experience, having held various leadership roles within NNPC and contributed to significant projects in the sector.
