Iheanacho's Late Penalty Secures Celtic's Dramatic Win

Kelechi Iheanacho, a forward for Celtic FC, played a pivotal role in a thrilling 3-2 victory against Motherwell FC on Wednesday night at Fir Park. Introduced from the bench, Iheanacho converted a penalty in the 98th minute, sparking wild celebrations among Celtic supporters.

The match saw Motherwell initially take the lead in the 17th minute through Elliot Watt, but Celtic responded with goals from Daizen Maeda and Benjamin Nygren. However, Liam Gordon equalized for Motherwell in the 85th minute, seemingly giving them control of the title race.

In stoppage time, referee John Beaton awarded a penalty to Celtic after reviewing a handball incident involving Motherwell's Sam Nicholson. Iheanacho successfully converted the penalty, marking his eighth goal for Celtic since joining on a free transfer, surpassing the previous record of six goals held by former defender Ef Ambrose.
