Segun Awolowo Jr, Grandson of Former Premier Obafemi Awolowo, Dies at 62

Segun Awolowo Jr, the grandson of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, former Premier of the Western Region, has died at the age of 62. He had a distinguished career serving in roles such as Special Assistant to former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.

Awolowo Jr also worked in the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and served as an executive director during the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan. Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, expressed deep sorrow at Awolowo Jr's passing, highlighting his significant contributions.

The late Awolowo Jr was born on September 27, 1963, and his death is mourned as a great loss.
