Hon Kalu Purchases N50M APC Form for 2027 Abia Race

Hon Kalu, the younger brother of Senator Kalu, has expressed his intention to contest for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections by purchasing a nomination form worth N50 million. This move marks the beginning of his political activities as he prepares for the electoral cycle in Abia State.

The current governor, who won the 2023 election, has disrupted the long-standing dominance of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state. Hon Kalu has previously held public office, including serving as the Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor and as a federal lawmaker.

His brother, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, remains a prominent political figure, currently representing the Abia North Senatorial District.
