Senator Natasha to Resume Senate Duties After Suspension

Senator Natasha, the suspended Kogi Central lawmaker, is set to resume at the National Assembly after a 6-month suspension. Her attorney, Barr Victor Giwa, confirmed her readiness to return to the Senate on September 23 after completing the suspension term.

Senator Natasha was suspended on March 6 over allegations of insubordination, which she contested in court and secured a favorable judgment for her recall. Despite the Senate's initial resistance, the leadership is now prepared to welcome her back without hindrance.

The suspension was based on a petition accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, a claim that was later dismissed.
