Senator Shehu Sani Urges Nigerians in US to Return Home Amid Deportation Fears

Former Nigerian Senator Shehu Sani has urged Nigerian citizens residing in the United States to return home to Nigeria to avoid potential deportation due to fears of increased Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities. Sani emphasized that hiding is not a solution and advised affected individuals to consider returning to Nigeria voluntarily.

He noted that even US citizens sometimes get affected during enforcement operations. Sani mentioned that during US President Donald Trump's tenure, thousands of Nigerians reportedly went into hiding in fear of deportation.

He highlighted the importance of respecting oneself and choosing to self-deport to accept the reality of the situation. Sani's comments come amidst growing concerns about immigration enforcement and deportations in the US.
